The Intel Xeon E3-1231 v3 is an end-of-life 4-core (8-thread) processor built for the server CPU market. It launched in Q2 2014 with a suggested retail price of $250. It is part of Intel's Xeon E3 lineup, which is based on the Haswell-WS microarchitecture. The E3-1231 v3 is compatible with Intel Socket 1150 motherboards and is fabricated on Intel's 22 nm manufacturing process.
